Problem

A major player in UK fibre networks needed a novel approach to planning a new rollout. The strict requirement to follow existing copper networks and routes across 5,500 exchanges meant that existing semi-manual methods would incur infeasible costs.

Solution

Satalia utilised their existing data set and stated constraints to model the problem. The Solve Engine’s suite of algorithms were then utilised to create a solution and multiple network map visualisations. Thousands of scenario combinations were tested and analysed to find the optimal solution.
